Tetra Tech renews certifications for major ISO quality and environmental standards

Global quality assurance firm DNV GL has renewed three major certifications for Tetra Tech. Renewing these standards cements our team’s ability to manage quality and environmental management systems, in addition to applying appropriate health and safety.

The renewed certifications concern the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards, encompassing the following:

  • The ISO 9001 provides a model for a quality management system, specifically in terms of the effective processes needed for a business to consistently deliver products and services that satisfy customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • The ISO 14001 is the most recognised international standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework through which an organisation can deliver environmental performance improvements aligned with its environmental policy commitments.
  • The OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognised management system standard demonstrating that a business is working to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill-health.

Tetra Tech’s CEO, said: “Retaining these certifications is vital for us to assure our partners and clients that Tetra Tech consistently maintains all the high standards required and expected of a multidisciplinary consultancy in the professional realm. It massively improves a firm’s credibility when bidding for work where these qualifications are often mandated today.”

All Tetra Tech offices are visited as part of a rolling programme where external auditors review office practices and ways of working against the various standards. DNV also audits the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Management System aligned to Tetra Tech’s governance model.

Michael Allen, Director of Group Security, SSHEQ, Tetra Tech, said: “This result was by far the best our company has achieved to date and can be attributed to the hard work and continued professionalism of many individuals at all levels across the Group.”
