The conference coincides with the launch of a New Statesman’s Spotlight report on the Northern Powerhouse, which explores themes of devolution, investment in northern business and infrastructure, transport, education, and the rebalancing of the economy.
Peter Blair, Head of Transport Planning (North) at Tetra Tech, has contributed his expertise to the report and will give an introductory address to the delegates. Several other prominent figures will speak at the event from industry, national, and regional politics, including Lord John Prescott and Lord Michael Heseltine.
Panels will be held to discuss key topics from investing in skills for the workforce to the role of transport and digital infrastructure in driving prosperity. The event will conclude with a drinks reception to provide networking opportunities for all the delegates.
