Tetra Tech companies in the UK come together to celebrate Pride month

June traditionally marks the start of Pride events up and down the country.  Like everything else, Pride will be very different in 2020 but we are determined to show our support to the LGBTQ+ community in our workplace, now and forever.

Pride has evolved hugely from the movement that fought for equal rights in 1969.  For many, in the UK at least, those rights are now firmly in place but that is not to say that our LGBTQ+ colleagues, friends and family experience a life without prejudice.  That’s why it’s important that we come together to show our support by flying the rainbow flag through our logo once again – a very public statement that as a family of colleagues we support every angle of diversity, be it gender, race, sexuality, mental or physical well-being.

As an inclusive employer, the diversity of thought that we achieve through true diversity of people makes us the best we can be.  Ultimately, we want to create a workplace where our people feel safe and empowered to be their true selves at work, with openness and genuine acceptance, without fear of judgement or limitations.

This year, in the true spirit of community and coming together, we are delighted to recognize our commitment to diversity by demonstrating our support for the LGBTQ+ community with our colleagues across the UK’s Tetra Tech family.  Norman Disney & Young (NDY), WYG and Tetra Tech International Development are all changing their logos in the UK across email footers and social medial channels simultaneously and although we cannot take part in the Pride Parade as we had hoped with our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies, we are working together on a series of celebratory and informative events that we will roll out over the coming month.  Just like the movement over 50 years ago that started Pride, we are stronger together.
