Tetra Tech appointed to £750m housing delivery framework in north of England

Tetra Tech has been appointed by Great Places Housing Group to provide multidisciplinary services to the £750m Innovation Chain North (ICN) framework.

The framework, which will run until June 2024, will support delivery of new mixed-use homes and associated infrastructure across the north of England in tandem with other housing associations’ operations across the region.

Having been selected for several lots, our team will support the framework as Employers Agent and Principal Designer & Health Safety Advisor, in addition to offering cost consultancy and planning services.

Jon, Mainwaring, Director of, Tetra Tech , said: “We are very excited to put forward our planning, design, project and cost management expertise to support Great Places Housing Group with the delivery of new homes across the north of England. It’s an incredibly ambitious programme and a great fit for our team that complements the multitude of work we have already done to support the government and other organisations in supplying much-needed homes and the infrastructure that comes with that.”

As part of our commitment on the framework, we are also proud to have pledged a portion of our fee to reinforce several social value initiatives by Great Places Housing Group. These range from donations towards creating employment opportunities like careers sessions and work experience placements, to contributions towards food, fuel, or furniture poverty initiatives.

Helen Spencer, Great Places’ Director of Development, said: “We are delighted to be working with Tetra Tech on our new ICN framework…We were delighted to have a huge response from the market and receive high quality proposals and substantial social value pledges for our communities. We are now looking forward to mobilising the framework and working together on new projects.”

“The new framework will ensure we and our peer organisations have tried and tested partners to help us to deliver our extensive development programmes and to help our collective ambitions to tackle the housing crisis.”

Joanne Whitehead, Great Places’ Procurement and Performance Manager, said: “Well done to Tetra Tech and all the organisations who have been awarded a place on the framework. We received a large number of high-quality bids and we now have an excellent group of contractors and consultants covering a wide range of disciplines to support our housing delivery ambitions. Great Places and the other housing providers who access the framework look forward to working with them all in the future.”
