Tetra Tech has been appointed alongside 12 technical specialists to two national Homes England frameworks that will support the public sector in delivering housing across England.
The Asbestos and Land Survey Frameworks will each span four years, enabling procurement of up to £30m worth of services combined. Our team’s role on each project will be to help increase the pace, scale and quality of development to speed up homes delivery in areas facing high demand.
Stephen Kinsella, Executive Director for Land, at Homes England, said: “Specialists appointed to these frameworks bring with them a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise that will enhance the work of Homes England. This will help us meet our ambition to accelerate housebuilding and help to deliver the Government’s ambition of 300,000 new homes per year required to alleviate the shortage of new homes in England.”
Both frameworks will be available to other public sector bodies and will feed into a suite of Homes England frameworks that seek to support the public and private sector where complex delivery and economic challenges burden developments. Homes England aims to buy land, release surplus public sector land, and remediate brownfield sites, plus funding and delivering primary infrastructure.
The Asbestos framework will facilitate services of £10m to de-risk sites in advance of their delivery to the market. Meanwhile, the Land Survey Framework will make available up to £5m of specialist land survey services.
We were recently re-appointed to Homes England’s Multidisciplinary Framework to lend a variety of our technical services towards housing projects around the nation. The suite of services offered planning, project and cost management, geo-environment, environment, engineering design, and construction support.

An Estates Management Services Framework will run parallel to the other two frameworks we are supporting, which will enable procurement of £15m to manage land.
