We are thrilled to announce that Craig Hatch, Managing Director- GB Region at Tetra Tech, has been shortlisted for the Northern Power Women Awards.
Craig, who heads our Management & Surveying business, has become a prominent figure in leading conversations on gender balance. As a sponsor of the Women in Nuclear (WiN) Cumbria branch, his support helped the group win the Northern Power Women Innovation Award in 2019.
The Northern Power Women Awards celebrate the women and men working towards creating gender balance in organisations across the entire Northern Powerhouse.
Craig commented on becoming a finalist: “I am extremely proud to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award, and honoured to be so alongside other shortlisted candidates who have made a big impact in improving gender equality. The support I give to WiN personally and through Tetra Tech aligns with our ethos of Leading with Science®. I want my daughter Eleanor and all future generations to have open doors to want to progress a STEM career.”

The WiN Cumbria team was established in March 2018, as part of the global organisation, WiN UK, which recognised the unique contribution that the county makes to the nuclear sector. Since its launch, the network has become a powerful community of local organisations and individuals collaborating to achieve gender diversity within the Cumbrian workforce.

I can’t thank him enough for his support. It allowed us to offer a programme to create gender balance at regional events. He truly lives his values – he brought his daughter to our events and encouraged her into a STEM role.”

The winners will be announced at the Northern Power Women awards in Manchester on 20 March 2020.
Only 22 percent of the UK’s nuclear industry is currently female, with even fewer women occupying senior positions. Tetra Tech is committed to making a difference on this front across our global offices operating in multiple sectors.
In November 2019, the Women’s Forum of New York recognised Tetra Tech at its Breakfast of Corporate Champions for achieving at least 30 percent female board representation. Tetra Tech has also met California’s 2021 requirements to have three women on the board of directors early.
